I can trace my passion and enjoyment of photography to my early years. It wasn't until later in life that I became determined to be a wedding and portrait photographer. I'm self taught for the most part although I did a City & Guilds in Black & White Photography many moons ago. I also have a background in the corporate world and so I understand the importance of listening to clients and working with their ideas.
As well as weddings and portraits I have been commissioned to photograph pictures for websites, head shots & groups shots of people in organisations. Some of my pictures have been published in articles and brochures. I've photographed weddings at most of the local venues around Melton Mowbray, Brooksby, Oakham, Normanton Church Rutland, Loughborough and at various locations in Leicestershire & Lincolshire.
I started out by photographing family and friends and soon found I was being asked if I could manage a wedding! Things continued to develop and I photographed many weddings alongside a "day job". After a career change last year I now have more time to give to photography and am excited about being able to pursue a creative path using the skills I have learned over many years. In addition to the photography craft, I really enjoy working with people and its this ability to connect with and relax people which comes through in my photos. Changes in technology have given us better tools to work with but it takes photographic skill to produce good quality photographs. That's something I do well and love doing!
